"The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear."
The practice of silence- the deliberate decision to withdraw from distractions and noise- has been embraced by different spiritual and religious traditions throughout time. Silence is often seen as a pathway to physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual renewal. Laura Stanton, our Family and Consumer Sciences Extension Educator, has a passion for sharing the health benefits of silence. Below are some resources she has created about the topic. If you are interested in learning more or scheduling a workshop about the benefits of silence, please reach out to her. Her email is stanton.60@osu.edu.
