Biography:
Undergraduate degree from Appalachian State University with a B.A. in Sociology. After college, served two years in Brethren Volunteer Service in Northern California as a social worker with the homeless. In 1995, attended Bethany Theological Seminary to pursue a Masters of Divinity degree. Following seminary, completed a term of service in Americorps*VISTA (Domestic Peace Corps) in Washington, DC, and served as the National Education Coordinator for the National Coalition for the Homeless. In 2001, started work at Ohio State University Extension as a 4-H Youth Educator.
