OSU Extension and Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) programming focuses on the delivery of high quality, research-based educational programs. The major program areas are building Healthy People, Healthy Finances, and Healthy Relationships. The goal is to help Ohioans stay healthy throughout the life cycle and the different stages of family life.
For the past 20 years, Laura has worked as a professional family life educator in many different social service agencies and non-profit organizations. Her teaching focuses on all aspects of human development and family life, but she is particularly passionate about parenting, family dynamics, cultural diversity, and inclusion.
Laura lives in Lebanon with her husband, teenage son, and tweenage daughter, as well as a menagerie of family pets. In her free time, Laura enjoys gardening, reading, birding, hiking, and exploring our beautiful National Parks.
