1. Clover Crusaders Spruce Up Camp Graham

    Last spring, the Clover Crusaders 4-H Club was awarded one of twenty "My Hands To Larger Service" mini-grants to plan and implement a community service project.  Their plan was to use grant funds to buy materials to provide homes for the natural wildlife around the camp, while improving conditions at the camp for the many 4-H campers and others who who visit the camp each year.

    This Warren County club developed a presentation as part of the required display about their project for the Ohio State Fair.

    Families, 4-H Committee members, Food & Fashion Board members and Extension staff joined in to celebrate the accomplishments of our 2015 graduating seniors.  More than 80 people were in attendance.

    As part of the celebration, Warren County scholarship winners were announced.

    Ohio State Fair Dog Show Championship Awards

    The State Fair Championship Award was introduced in 2000 to recognize kids for their participation and achievement at the Ohio State Fair Dog Show. Exhibitors could earn one point for each event in which they competed, and an additional 5 points if they placed in the top 15. Twenty-five points were required to qualify for an award.

  8. Urban Immersion Trip a Success

    On September 18-21, seven teens and two adult leaders participated in the Urban Immersion experience in Washington DC. The Urban Immersion Project (UIP) is a new initiative that combines cross-cultural learning, team work, and service learning in an urban environment.

    Kathy Michelich, Retired Extension Educator of Warren County, was honored at the National Extension Association for Family and Consumer Sciences 2014 annual conference in Lexington, Kentucky where she received the National and Central Region Florence Hall Award.
