The Teen Leadership in Action Workshop was created to provide an interactive “learn by doing” experience for teens who want to better their leadership ability. Both sessions are designed with an emphasis on learning real-life, and usable workforce preparation skills to help teens be successful in the future. This year two options are available. Leadership 101 is designed for teens with little to no prior leadership experience and Advanced leadership session is for those teens who have completed leadership 101 or who have had experience with leadership activities in the past.
Goals for both Workshops are to:
- increase leadership skills in the areas of communication, professionalism, self-confidence, and cultural intelligence.
- develop greater understanding of various personal leadership styles.
- practice skills through interactive and engaging methods.
- help participants learn practical skills that will positively impact their future.
