Event will be broken down into two parts; a hike in the morning, and an in-depth workshop in the afternoon.
Sustainability for the Holidays Hike - 10:00am – 12:00pm
Moderate hike to see the Swinging Bridge and Horseshoe Falls and Pioneer Village, this is a general naturalist hike, and all ages are welcome. Meet at the Nature Center. We will discuss the importance of our Natural Resources and learn ways we can practice sustainability through the holiday season. Closed-toed shoes are required, bring water, and leashed dogs are welcome. Meet at Caesar Creek Nature Center.
Sustainable Living Workshop - 1:00pm - 3:00pm
More and more of us are realizing the importance of our choices regarding the environment. To be better stewards of our planet, there are actions and decisions that we can make to limit our negative impact on the Earth. In this workshop, Warren County's Family and Consumer Sciences Educator and the Park Naturalist will explore ways to limit our impact on the planet by going green. Attention will be on daily living as well as holiday activities. Meet at Ceasar Creek Nature Center.
