    Ohio Woodland Stewards Program Backyard Maple Production--Learn How to Make Maple Syrup at Home Do you have maple trees in your uard? Interested in learming how to collect sap from those trees and turn it inot syrup? Then this class is for you. We will present the basics of making syrup from one tree in the yard to a handful of them. Monday, January 29th, 2024 6:30pm-9pm Event Center - Warren County Fairgrounds 665 N. You’ll engage in fun, interactive puzzles and games and learn what you can do in your daily life to keep your brain healthy.  Although the workouts are free, we need you to register so we have plenty of supplies.

We will read and discuss books that explore nature-related topics. This will be a casual and informal gathering, so there is no pressure to read the entire book! We look forward to hearing your thoughts and connecting with other nature lovers.

    Join Cindy Meyer, Conservation Program Specialist, Warren County Soil & Water Conservation District as we explore how to create harmony with native trees and shrubs. Native plants are wonderful additions because they help create a biodiverse garden by attracting birds, beneficial insects and other creatures. We will discuss the importance of incorporating natives into our landscapes, where to source them locally and some of her top choices for Southwest Ohio gardens. Cost is $10 per person and is limited to the first 50 registrants.
