Join OSU Extension Educator, Laura Stanton, and Erin Shaw, Caesar Creek State Park Naturalist, for the next Nature Lovers Book Club. We will read and discuss books that explore nature-related topics. These will be  casual and informal gatherings, so there is no pressure to read the entire book. We look forward to hearing your thoughts and connecting with other nature lovers.

  3. Mar. 09, 2024 6:15pm

Join local birding enthusiast, Austin Langdon, and OSU Extension Educator, Laura Stanton, as we search for woodcocks. The American woodcock is a plump, well-camouflaged shorebird that favors wooded areas near open fields, making Miller Ecological Park’s prairie loop an ideal habitat. These ground-dwelling birds are rarely seen during daytime but are well known for their elaborate courtship display performed at dusk in the spring. During this display, these birds fly up in swooping circles, chirping and twittering high in the sky! This is a don’t miss event for the whole family!
