    Have you ever wondered what happens to your recycling items after Rumpke picks them up? Join Laura Stanton, our Family Consumer Sciences Educator, for a unique opportunity to tour the Rumpke Recycling Facility, the largest residential recycling plant in North America. We’ll review items acceptable for Rumpke recycling and take a walking tour of the plant to see how recyclable materials are sorted. All are welcome, although visitors must be at least 13 years old.

Join Laura Stanton, OSU Extension Educator, for a seven-week series of free Wits Workouts on Wednesdays starting in January 2025.     The Warren County Cattlemen’s Association and Ohio State University Extension in Warren County will be holding a Beef Quality Assurance Certification and Recertification Meeting on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Warren County Extension Office (320 E. Silver Street, Lebanon). All are welcome to attend. There is no cost for this meeting. This is for Beef Producers and not 4-H youth beef exhibitors.

These will be slow and peaceful walks, perfect for Monday mornings. These walks are a perfect opportunity to soak up Vitamin N (Nature) and meet new friends. Both of which are beneficial to your overall health and wellbeing. Feb 3rd guest is Shannon Pennington, Warren County Park District Naturalist.

    Have you ever wondered what happens to your garbage after Rumpke picks it up? Join Laura Stanton for a unique opportunity to tour the Rumpke Sanitary Landfill in Colerain Township. The tour includes a brief history of the company and explanations of landfill construction, environmental protection, methane case removal, leachate collection, and surface water controls. The tour emphasizes the importance of conserving landfill space and natural resources by reducing consumption, recycling, and reusing.
