We all know that going for a walk is good for our physical health, but it doesn’t stop there. Research shows that getting outside in nature has many mental health benefits as well. Join us as we walk, wander, and wonder through the YMCA woods. Meet at the outdoor shelter on the North side of the YMCA building (near the gymnastics area). These walks will be led by Jim Ludwick and Laura Stanton and are open to YMCA members and non-members. Walks will be held rain or shine, so please dress appropriately.

Meet at the outdoor shelter on the North side of the YMCA building (near the gymnastics area). This walk will be led by Laura Stanton and is open to YMCA members and non-members. This walk will be held rain or shine, so please dress appropriately.

Positive psychology is the scientific study of what makes life most worth living. Scientists in the field have found proven ways to increase a person’s level of happiness. In this workshop, you will learn about the current state of happiness in the US (it’s the lowest it has ever been) and explore the ten keys to happier living. You will leave with resources and specific actions you can take to live a happier life. This workshop is free and open to all community members: you do not have to be a member of the YMCA.
