Submit an application to have your project considered for acceptance as an “approved” Warren County Master Gardener volunteer project.

Master Gardener Volunteer Program Overview

The Master Gardener Volunteer Program provides intensive training in horticulture to interested Ohio residents who then volunteer their time assisting with educational programs and activities in cooperation with the local Ohio State University Extension office.

Programs and activities could include:

  • Developing demonstration or community gardens.
  • Sponsoring gardening meetings and activities for local citizens.
  • Answering horticulture questions from the public.
  • Helping others to beautify their community.
  • And many other horticulture activities and services.
Due to the size of our organization and number of volunteers available, a very limited number of new projects can be added to our “approved” list on a yearly basis.

Selection Criteria:

  1. The project and role of the Master Gardener volunteers is consistent with the educational mission and stated purpose of the organization.
  2. The size and scope of the project is reasonable for the number of available volunteers.
  3. Appropriate credit for OSU Extension and the Master Gardener Association is provided by project sponsors.
