The Ohio 4-H program requires that all 4-H clubs in the State of Ohio be chartered on an annual basis in order to be recognized as an 'official' 4-H club.
The 2015 JFB will hold its organizational meeting on Monday, October 27. The November meeting will be help on Monday, November 24. Both meetings will be held at 7:00 pm in the Extension Office conference room.
The counselor selection process will take place in November & December. Final selections will be posted on Friday, December 12th. Teens who want to be considered for a Counselor-in-Training position can get information and application forms right here. Returning counselors will receive their application packet during their post camp interview.
Did you know... Since 2002, forty-seven 4-H members in Warren County have earned a State Fair Championship title, and a grand total of 92 titles!
The Ohio 4-H Teen Advisory Council is collecting hats, toys, and blankets in each county in order to donate them as Christmas gifts to pediatric cancer patients in the state of Ohio.
In the past 30 days, we received 35 ratings for 14 different projects. Not bad for such a busy time of year! We’re not quite there yet, but our goal is to have every item rated.
4-H Science Saturdays are designed for kids in grades 3-6 who want to discover new things and learn by doing.
Throughout Ohio 4-H, youth are involved in significant leadership experiences. Teens are leading 4-H clubs, organizing service projects, creating camping programs, mentoring younger members and speaking out for what they value. Engagement in these actions not only positively impacts communities; young people’s lives are also shaped as they transition into adulthood.
On September 18-21, seven teens and two adult leaders participated in the Urban Immersion experience in Washington DC. The Urban Immersion Project (UIP) is a new initiative that combines cross-cultural learning, team work, and service learning in an urban environment.
