Junior Fairboard

Junior Fairboard members solicit award sponsorships, organize all youth events related to the fair (both pre-fair and during the fair), assist in the execution of junior fair events and activities, and assist in the planning for facilities, judges., rules, etc. Their work is a cooperative effort with the Senior Fair Board, Senior Superintendents and Advisors.

ADC 2006Camp Counselor Program

Planning for the 2008 Camp season is already underway! The counselor selection process will take place in November & December. Final selections will be posted on December 6. Whether you want to be considered for a Counselor-in-Training position or as a returning Counselor, make sure you have completed the required paperwork and returned it to the office by October 31.

Food & Fashion Board

Food & Fashion Board 2008The Warren County Food & Fashion Board promotes 4-H Clothing & Nutrition projects and related events.  Educational activities and community service activities round out the program for this group. Any Warren County 4-H member, age 13 or older may apply to be a member of the Food & Fashion Board.  Members must enroll in a clothing or nutrition project and be willing to present educational activities to 4-H Clubs in Warren County.  Applications have typically been accepted during the Warren County Fair.


CARTEENS 

seatbeltHelp make our roads a safer place!  This nationally recognized safe driving initiative, provides traffic safety education to first-time juvenile traffic offenders.  Teen presenters play an important role by conveying the message about careless driving and its effects.  They come from nearly all the high schools in the county. Several of them have been through the program as participants and felt strongly enough to volunteer.

Ohio 4-H Ambassadors

The Ohio 4-H Ambassador program was introduced in 1995 to recognize teens for achievement of standards of excellence. All Ohio 4-H teens who have achieved excellence in 4-H work, 4-H participation, 4-H citizenship, 4-H leadership, 4-H officer/committee work, and other-than-4-H leadership are invited to apply for this prestigious opportunity.  Paperwork will be available in December.


State Trips and Recognition

Earn a scholarship to attend Citizenship Washington Focus, Leadership Camp, Conservation Camp Sea Camp, Forestry Camp or one of several other Teen Leadership Camps as well as have the opportunity to be recognized at the state level with a State Achievement Award. The OAR - the Ohio Achievement Record - will be available in December.  This form must be submitted to qualify for any of these Trips and Awards.


College Scholarships

Ohio 4-H Scholarships were established in 1976 in order to help young people continue their efforts toward becoming self-directing, productive, and contributing members of society. There are currently 24 scholarships being offered at the state level and 6 Warren County awards offered each year.  Scholarship applications will be mailed in December to all 4-H members currently in the 12th grade.
